Description

The Jean Noblet Tarot is the oldest known Tarot de Marseille deck. It is believed to be the only surviving deck produced in Paris in 1650 and features 78 original cards. This is a faithful reproduction of the work with restored colors, clarified details and expanded borders. The deck is in French and the extra cards are in English.

Restoration Process

This restoration consisted of meticulously redrawing and recoloring the images. We clarified many of the details to create consistency. The original deck is missing the 6 – 10 of Swords which we have carefully reconstructed based on contemporary decks. Our goal was not to create an exact reproduction, but an elegant, refined deck that inspires the imagination of the modern reader.
