Charlie Quintero is a creative soul who, along with her best friend Camille Smooch, founded Sick Sad Girls. Born with a passion for art, Charlie has always found ways to express herself through creation. With a background in traditional art and special effects makeup, she has never been confined to one medium. She loves drawing, painting, embroidery, tattooing, and more. This versatility keeps her inspired and able to create anything her heart desires.Charlie draws inspiration from a deep love for horror, science fiction, and the magic of life. Growing up with Tim Burton films and 80s horror, she finds beauty in the strange and unusual. Her work reflects her fascination with dreams and nightmares, mythology, magic, and human connection.Her journey as an artist began at a young age when she used her creativity to make unique clothing items. Today, she works from her studio, creating art and inspiring others to discover their own creative potential. Charlie strongly believes in the power of collaboration and community, which is a core pillar of Sick Sad Girls.
