Caitlín Matthews built this deck around a question most tarot sets do not ask: what are you doing for the world around you? The guidebook works through every card on three levels, your own situation, your community, and broader social and environmental themes. M.M. Meleen’s illustrations keep the familiar Waite-Smith compositions intact while filling them with contemporary symbolism around time and change.
The court cards are presented not as fixed personality types but as roles and stages of maturity that anyone can occupy.
This is not a full 78-card tarot deck. It contains only the 22 Major Arcana, created by Maja D’Aoust, a practising White Witch from Los Angeles with a master’s degree in transformational psychology. The illustrations are minimalist and line-driven, with surrealist imagery: floating eyes, geometric shapes and anatomical details that build a dreamlike atmosphere. The absence of colour pushes interpretation entirely into your own hands, which is exactly what this deck is designed to do.
Amadea H. Ris developed this deck over ten years using klecksography, a technique where forms emerge organically and are then read and interpreted rather than deliberately drawn. The result is 83 cards where symbolic meaning is opened up, not pinned down. The 336-page guidebook, which expands on the archetypal and intuitive layers of each card, is sold separately and is not included with this deck.

M. Scorch designed this 78-card deck without any dark or heavy imagery: every card carries an uplifting message, illustrated in kawaii style with food as the central theme. The suits are renamed Chopsticks, Bowls, Straws and Plates, and the whole deck fits in a compact tin.

Christiane Neumann, working as Christephania, builds on the classic 38-card Lenormand system and adds something you rarely see in other Lenormand decks: animal spirit guides as an additional layer of interpretation alongside the traditional card meanings. The digital collage imagery is clear and direct, in keeping with how Lenormand reading actually works. The cards have silver gilt edges and include extra Gentleman and Lady cards for more flexibility in combination readings.

Jen Sankey built this deck around Mena, a space pirate who travels as the Fool through all 78 cards. Carol Phillips illustrated the cosmic vision in jewel-toned colours that blend mythology, steampunk detail, and outer space into a single coherent world. A zodiac symbol is printed on every card, making astrological correspondences readable at a glance.

Jake Baddeley is an internationally recognised painter whose work draws heavily on the techniques of the Old Masters. He painted all 78 cards by hand, building on Hermeticism, Neoplatonism and the Eleusinian Mysteries. The 368-page guidebook works out the historical and philosophical background of each card in full.
This is not a beginner deck: the imagery is layered and the guidebook reads more like a scholarly text on Western esoteric philosophy than a quick reference.
Anima Tarot draws on alchemy, Jungian psychology, mythology, and the astrological and Kabbalistic correspondences developed by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Davide De Angelis spent more than seven years working directly with David Bowie on the visual world of the Outside and Earthling albums. This tarot deck grew out of that collaboration. The Remastered edition is a revised second version with a new card back design, adjusted card sizing to reveal artwork that was cropped in the original, and added design elements based on handwritten notes and sketches exchanged between De Angelis and Bowie during their work together.
The guidebook has been rewritten by Davide and Esther De Angelis and includes new insights and personal anecdotes about working with Bowie.
The Soul Seeker Tarot maps the shadow side of the classic Rider-Waite-Smith tradition. For each of the 78 traditional cards, this deck offers a dark counterpart, illustrated by Italian artist Mirko Andreoli. Charles Harrington, who has been reading and teaching tarot for 25 years, wrote the guidebook as a narrative: a lonely soul searching for meaning across the Arcana.

Strange creatures, powerful sorcerers and savage landscapes fill all 78 cards, drawing directly from the world H.P. Lovecraft built in his fiction. The accompanying texts were written by Valentina Camerini.
This is a deck that commits fully to its dark atmosphere and does not soften it.
Illustrator Marga Biazzi studied Japanese language and culture, and that grounding shows in this deck. She combines Japanese visual motifs with art nouveau linework, building on her earlier Yokai Tarot. Writer Debora Mayfair contributed the texts.

Every card in this deck is based on a character or scene from Jane Austen’s novels. The suits have been adapted to her world: candles for wands, pens for swords, and denarii (period coins) for pentacles. It is a full 78-card tarot, conceived and written by Diane Wilkes, with illustrations by Italian artist Lola Airaghi, who trained at the Scuola del Fumetto di Milano.
The suits are renamed after objects from Austen’s era, but the structure of a standard tarot remains fully intact.
Tarn Ellis portrays all twelve zodiac signs and the planets as goddesses, drawn in her distinctive faceless style with a deliberately diverse and inclusive approach to depicting women. Ellis, a British artist with a background in psychology and mindfulness, pairs each figure with descriptions of archetypal energy in the accompanying 128-page guidebook.
The faceless style gives each figure a universality that is rarely found in astrologically themed oracle cards.
Federico Babina is an Italian architect and graphic designer, and that background shapes every card. The Chromatika Tarot does not illustrate the arcana in the traditional sense. It encodes them, using bold lines, graphic icons, and colour to evoke the Rider-Waite-Smith system rather than depict it directly.
