The guidebook accompanies a separately sold 78-card oracle deck structured in two groups: 31 God cards representing living archetypes of Greek, Egyptian, Celtic, Norse, and Mesopotamian deities, and 47 Magic cards engaging with mysticism, the uncanny, and what Roland calls tutelary energies - protective forces of the universe. The deck itself uses curated paintings from the 17th to 20th centuries, finished with gold foil details.
Roland writes the card interpretations as 'voices from the temple', giving each card its own register rather than a standardised bullet-point meaning. Full-size card images are included throughout. The philosophical thread of the Sublime runs across all entries, so readers gain both a historical context and an intuitive reading framework.
