Ambrosia Jones

Ambrosia Jones is an artist, healer, and writer who works with watercolor, ceramics, felt, photography, scent, music, and any other medium she gets her hands on. She specializes in what she calls Mystical Realism, and her art reflects how she sees and interacts with the world around her. Ambrosia uses vibrant colors to show the inherent magic and sacredness of Mother Earth and the energy that flows through her.Much of Ambrosia’s work is inspired by her extensive travels and her life and work as a remote area nurse in outback Australia. She has worked with at-risk teenagers in remote schools, taught art therapy, and conducted workshops and classes on energy healing and earth shamanism for three decades. She founded the Blue Pentacle, a Pagan healing organization focused on bridging the gap between modern medicine and alternative healing practices. Additionally, she has written articles and regular columns on traditional healing methods for various publications.Ambrosia is the mother of three young women, grandmother to two boys, and an honorary parental figure to seven 'extra-curricular' children, teens, and young adults.She does her best to work anywhere she has access to art supplies – and as she never travels without watercolors, pencils, and pens, that means everywhere, including on two-person planes on the way to remote nursing jobs. Hand her unmolded clay, a child, pigment, or paper, and she will create something beautiful.Ambrosia has dedicated her life to creating beauty and providing comfort to all who need it, as a mother, a nurse, and an artist.
