Born in 1984 on the South Coast of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, Amy Edwards was destined to be an artist. Few days of her childhood passed without a pencil in her hand – an obsession that followed her into adulthood. Over the years, Amy has enjoyed exploring new mediums and expanding her ever-growing range of creative pursuits.Since her first exhibition in 1996 at the age of 12, her artwork has found its way into numerous exhibitions, homes, and publications worldwide.Amy still lives in Wollongong, NSW, and when she’s not painting, she enjoys spending time with her musician husband, collecting driftwood, shells, feathers, and bones, and caring for an ever-changing zoo of animals that seem to invite themselves into her home, the most notable of which is a very peculiar and spoiled cat.Amy believes that one of the most important things in life is laughter, especially laughing at oneself, and she is constantly grateful for the supportive individuals in her life who surround her with laughter and love.
