Casey Zabala is an artist, writer, and tarot reader from the Bay Area. Her self-published tarot deck, Wanderer's Tarot, is a feminist deck for modern witches. With 13 years of tarot experience, Casey has a studied and intuitive approach to her readings, incorporating aspects of natural magic and manifestation techniques into her offerings. Passionate about mystical and magical arts, Casey hopes to contribute to the collective healing through individual tarot readings and artistic explorations. Casey feels at home at the overlooked intersections of dreams, meadows, and used bookshops. Since receiving her first tarot deck for her thirteenth birthday, she began her studies of the occult and magical arts. This fascination with enchantment has been a constant thread throughout her life and work. Casey's published divinatory tools include Wanderer's Tarot and Wyrd Sisters Oracle. In 2018, Casey founded Modern Witches and hosted her first Modern Witches Confluence, a symposium for seekers and witches over Samhain weekend. Casey’s life and work aim to uplift the healing power of witchcraft, especially as we face unprecedented global crises. Currently living in Northern California, you will find Casey wandering through forests, baking bread, offering oracular counsel, and creating art in collaboration with her spirit helpers. Casey has been working intentionally within the intuitive and symbolic realms for 20 years. Whether writing, art-making, or teaching, magic always lies at the center of her practice. She believes that divination is a tool for empowerment, re-enchantment, and healing. Casey aims to guide individuals through their personal transformation with creativity and magic, by teaching ancient tools to modern seekers, while creating community along the way. She holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She teaches mystical workshops focused on tarot and divination, including practical magic, occultism, and principles of witchcraft.
