Klára Sedlo

Oilpainting Tarot Klára Sedlo is a painter based in Prague, working at the intersection of surrealism and symbolism. Each card in this deck started as an actual oil painting on canvas, painted in a style referencing 17th-century Italian and French tarot but with entirely new figures and archetypes. The deck holds 28 cards instead of the classic 22, with titles like ‘Hen’, ‘Architect’ and ‘Shoe Quarrel’. Language: English Quality: Reproductions of original oil paintings, full colour print Contents: 28 cards with guidebook Sedlo is also a synesthete who translates feelings into visual images, a background that shows in the layered, intuitively built compositions on the cards.

Voynich Manuscript Oracle Czech painter Klára Sedlo based this oracle on the plant illustrations from the Voynich manuscript, a 15th-century document written in a script that has never been deciphered. She translated the rough original sketches into detailed oil paintings: plants that float, dance in formations, glow with their own light, or rise from deep water. Each card carries a short affirmation or reflection in English; a full explanatory guide is available via a QR code included in the set.
