The cards were developed by Kathy Tyler and Joy Drake within the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland, a community that built a worldwide reputation around spiritual development in the 1970s. Tyler and Drake also wrote the Transformation Game, which was developed during the same period. This silver anniversary edition contains the original 72 cards plus 20 new qualities, 20 stickers, a carrying case and an inspiration booklet.
Each card shows one word: a quality such as courage, joy, clarity, trust, gentleness or creativity. The illustrations are simple and recognisable. No complex symbolism, no hidden messages. The strength lies in the directness.
The booklet contains short meditations and visualisations for each card. These are meant as a starting point, not as fixed meanings. You can read the texts or skip them entirely and follow your own associations.
Many people draw one card in the morning and use it as a guide for the day. Others pick a card as a starting point for meditation or journaling. The cards do not predict anything, they only remind you of a quality you can choose to bring into play.
