Blessed Be - Celtic blessings on 46 oracle cards
A blessing is a spoken or written intention to call forth something good. In Celtic traditions that is not a loose phrase, but a ritual practice with deep meaning. This oracle brings that practice into card form.
Lucy Cavendish wrote the texts and based them on ancient Celtic formulas and contemporary spiritual language. Illustrator Jane Starr Weils painted the cards in watercolour with rich symbolism: triskelions, spirals, sacred trees, faces that feel both human and mythic.
What you see on the cards
The images are rich and colour dominates. Blue, green, gold and deep purple return often. Each card shows a scene in which figures, natural elements or sources of light take centre stage. Some images are abstract, others show clearly recognisable characters: young women, elders, goddesses, druids.
Each card carries a short blessing formula. That sentence forms the title of the card and also works as an affirmation. The guidebook gives a longer explanation for each card about the background, the symbolism and how you can use the blessing in meditation or ritual work.
How this deck behaves in practice
This is not a deck for prediction. It is about intention and restoration. You can draw a card as a positive impulse for the day, as a reflection tool after a difficult period, or as an aid in visualisation or prayer.
The tone is supportive and light. Some oracle decks confront. This one does not. It focuses on what is possible, what may be seen, what is protected.
Draw a card and read the blessing out loud. That may feel strange, but the spoken word is the very core of Celtic blessing practices.

Questions we often get
What is the difference between this deck and a tarot deck?
This is not tarot. It does not follow a fixed structure and is not meant for prediction. It focuses on spiritual support through blessings.
Do I need to be familiar with Celtic traditions to use this deck?
No. The guidebook explains the background where needed. The cards themselves also work without that knowledge, as affirmation or inspiration.
