Celtic Goddesses, Witches, and Queens Oracle - 40 figures from Celtic myth and tradition
Celtic mythology is often borrowed lightly in oracle cards. This set takes a different approach. Author Danu Forest holds an MA in Celtic studies and has more than thirty years of experience with Celtic spirituality, women's circles, covens and druid groups. That foundation runs through every card.
The forty cards draw from Irish, Welsh, Scottish, Gaulish and Arthurian traditions. This is not a generic goddess collection, but a considered selection from the actual Celtic heritage: elemental goddesses of water, fire, earth and air, alongside heroines, spirits and women from legend and folklore.
What you find on the cards and in the guidebook
Illustrator Dan Goodfellow drew all forty figures in a rich, full-colour style. The cards are arranged alphabetically, making any figure easy to locate in the guidebook. For each card, Forest first presents a mythologically grounded summary of the figure's known lore, then her lessons for the modern seeker, followed by divinatory meanings and a written prayer to honour each goddess or heroine.
The guidebook opens with a short introduction providing Celtic cultural context and suggestions for consecrating the cards. That tone, respectful and steeped in tradition, carries through the entire book.
What sets this apart from other goddess oracles
Many goddess oracles reach for broad, universal archetypes. This one stays grounded in specific Celtic sources, from pre-Christian religion to medieval Arthurian legend. The range of traditions covered, five distinct strands, makes it richer than sets drawn from a single mythological pool.
The themes throughout are nature, sovereignty, fertility, home and death. Forest does not soften these. This is not a comfort oracle.
The guidebook fits neatly inside the box and is smaller than what some people expect. The content more than makes up for the compact size.

Questions we often get
Do you need prior knowledge of Celtic mythology to use these cards?
No. The guidebook provides a mythological background summary for each card, so you learn the figures through the set itself. Those already familiar with Celtic traditions will find much to recognise; those who are not get enough context to work with the cards meaningfully.
Does the guidebook include spreads?
The guidebook includes suggestions for consecrating the cards and detailed divinatory meanings for each figure. Whether specific named spreads are included is not confirmed in the available information.
