Christiane Neumann has kept the 36 classic Kipper themes, but completely rewritten the visual language in surrealist collages. Old prints, soft transitions, figures floating between dream and memory. The result feels nostalgic and psychological at once.

What you see on the cards

Each card is a collage of vintage elements and modern techniques. The style is reminiscent of dream images: recognisable, but slightly shifted. Colours are soft, transitions are smooth.

Where classic Kipper cards are direct and concrete, these cards invite you to look longer. The symbolism is layered. One card can yield multiple readings, depending on what you see at that moment.

The cards are printed on sturdy cardstock with a gloss finish. The format is 70 x 104 mm, slightly larger than standard playing cards. They sit well in the hand and are solid enough for regular use.

The structure is classic: 36 cards, divided across people, situations and themes. But the tone is softer. Where a traditional Kipper deck can be blunt in its directness, this deck leaves more room for nuance.

There are no extensive spreads. The focus is on understanding the individual cards and how they relate to one another.
