Dream Wisdom Oracle
This oracle is the work of a psychiatrist and a Jungian psychologist-artist, and that combination shapes everything about it. Product information
Dream Wisdom Oracle - oracle cards grounded in dream psychology
Most oracle cards work with archetypes and symbols. The Dream Wisdom Oracle works with dreams themselves: what they are made of, what they communicate, and how to engage with them consciously. That is a different starting point, and it produces a different kind of deck.
The cards were created by Greg Mahr, a psychiatrist who researches acute trauma and nightmares, and Heather Taylor-Zimmerman, a Jungian psychologist and visual artist. Both bring academic credentials and clinical practice to the work.
What the cards contain
The 46 cards cover the most common dream territory: recurring plots, recognisable settings, emotions that surface in dreams, and figures that appear in the dreamscape. Taylor-Zimmerman's art is described as evocative, designed to activate the unconscious rather than illustrate a fixed meaning.
A dedicated group of teaching cards stands apart from the symbolic cards. These address practice: how to remember dreams, how to induce a lucid dream, and how to maintain healthy sleep routines. That is unusual content for an oracle set.
How you work with it
You can use the cards to incubate a specific dream topic, to reflect on your current psychological state, or to look more closely at a dream you have already had. The 256-page guidebook supports all of these uses.
The creators specifically mention therapists and healers as an audience. The cards can be used to work with clients' dreams and to activate the unconscious in a therapeutic setting. That is an explicit design choice, not a general suggestion.
Pull a card for a dream that has stayed with you and read the corresponding psychotherapeutic text. The guidebook offers concrete guidance, not loose associations.

Questions we often get
Do you need to keep a dream journal to use these cards?
Not necessarily, but the cards are explicitly designed for use alongside dreams. The teaching cards include guidance on how to remember dreams. Anyone who already tracks their dreams can engage directly with the symbolic and therapeutic cards.
Is this set designed for professional use in therapy?
The creators explicitly mention therapists and healers as an intended audience. The cards can be used in sessions to work with clients' dreams and to activate the unconscious. The 256-page guidebook provides more depth than most oracle sets offer.
