Dreams of Gaia Tarot Set - 81 cards for personal transformation
Most tarot decks stick to 78 cards. This one has 81. That is not an accident. Ravynne Phelan set aside the traditional tarot structure and built her own system around archetypes of growth, nature and awareness.
The court cards are gone. In their place you find figures such as the 'Child of Water', representing life stages and inner development. The aim is not prediction, but reflection.
What you see on the cards
The imagery is magical realism. Rich in mythology, saturated colours, figures that look at you or turn away. Each card holds enough detail to keep looking.
The back is finished with gold foil. The front has a matte coating that resists fingerprints. The format is larger than standard (90 x 130 mm), which gives the images breathing space.
The guidebook describes each card on multiple levels: symbolism, emotion, practical application. There are no fixed meanings to memorize. Instead you get starting points to make your own connections.
Who this deck works for
This is not a classic RWS system. If you are used to standard tarot, you will need to shift gears. The structure is different, the names are different, the focus is different.
Coaches and therapists often use this deck in conversations about life transitions. The images invite people to think aloud. The 308-page guidebook offers enough support to get started without prior knowledge.
Draw one card and look at it before you open the guidebook. Which details stand out? What does the image bring up for you? That is information as valuable as the written meaning.
