Flower Magic Oracle Cards - garden photography with botanical wisdom
Most oracle decks use illustrations. This one uses real flowers. Rachel Patterson photographed them in her own garden, Kate Osborne adapted the images and added a wise woman figure as a constant messenger. The result feels grounded and direct.
The deck consists of 48 cards, each focused on one flower or plant. The background colour varies per card, the gilded edge draws attention to the image. The photography is not stylised. These are plants as you would find them in a garden.
What you see on the cards
Each card shows a flower, often with stem, bud or leaf still attached. The wise woman is integrated into the image, sometimes transparent, sometimes superimposed. The effect is quiet, without much movement or drama.
The guidebook describes the healing properties, symbolism and practical applications for each flower. It is not a botanical overview, but a guide that matches Patterson's background as a Kitchen Witch: herbal medicine and natural magic explained in an accessible way.
How you work with this deck
This deck works well for daily card draws. The messages are clear enough to work with even without much experience. Many people use it as a complement to a tarot reading: where tarot shows structure and larger patterns, this deck adds a softer, energetic perspective.
You can also use the cards without a spread, as a meditative focus or to mark a season or moon cycle. The flowers follow the natural rhythms of growth and bloom.
Draw a card during the full or new moon and see which flower shows up. Read what the guidebook says about it and let it work for two weeks.
About Rachel Patterson
Rachel Patterson is known as the Kitchen Witch within the modern witchcraft community. She writes about practical magic, herbs and natural cycles, and approaches spirituality without mystical jargon.
Her focus is on accessibility: magic is something you can apply in your own kitchen or garden, not something that remains hidden behind complicated rituals. You see that principle reflected in this deck.

Questions we often get
What is the difference between this deck and other flower oracles?
This deck uses real photography instead of drawn or painted flowers. That makes the images more realistic and more directly connected to physical nature. The wise woman as a constant figure gives the deck a personal voice.
Do I need knowledge of herbal medicine to use this deck?
No. The guidebook explains everything you need to know. It is written for people who are curious about flowers and their properties, not for people who already have a background in herbal medicine.
