Getting into the Vortex - 60 cards for focused vibrational alignment
Not every oracle deck works with symbolism. Some rely on the spoken word. Getting into the Vortex by Esther and Jerry Hicks is a 60-card deck that comes directly from the Abraham teachings and focuses entirely on shifting your current emotional state.
The cards do not predict anything. They are designed to help you consciously align with what the Abraham philosophy calls 'the Vortex': the energetic space where everything you want already exists. The imagery is kept quiet. Soft colours, plenty of white space, clean typography. The focus is on the text.
How the cards are organised
The 60 cards are divided into three themes: relationships, the physical body and work and abundance. That structure makes it easy to work in a focused way. If you feel tension in your work, you draw from that area. If you are struggling with a relationship, you pull from that stack.
Each card contains an affirmation or an insight formulated from the Abraham teachings. The messages are clear and direct. You can use them without knowing the books by Esther and Jerry Hicks, but those who do will recognise the tone immediately.
What you do with them
This deck lends itself to daily use. Draw a card in the morning to start your day consciously. Or pick a card when you feel frustrated, anxious or exhausted. The affirmations work better when you read them aloud. The spoken word reinforces the shift in your thinking.
The accompanying 61-page booklet provides additional context for the cards, but the cards are formulated in such a way that you can start working without the booklet.
Draw a card in a moment of frustration and read the affirmation aloud. The simple fact that you speak these words shifts your focus.
About Esther and Jerry Hicks
Esther Hicks is the voice behind the Abraham teachings. Since 1986 she has shared the Abraham philosophy, first in a small circle, later in sold-out halls and workshops. Her work with her husband Jerry Hicks, who died in 2011, laid the foundation for the modern movement around the Law of Attraction.
Together they wrote several New York Times bestsellers. From 1989 onwards they travelled to around fifty cities a year to give interactive workshops. After Jerry's death in November 2011, Esther continued the workshops, supported by her colleagues and, as she describes it, by the non-physical presence of Abraham and Jerry.

Questions we often get
How does this deck differ from a traditional tarot deck?
A traditional tarot deck consists of 78 cards with symbolic imagery. Getting into the Vortex has 60 cards without archetypal symbolism. The aim is not to read the future, but to shift your emotional and vibrational state in the now. The cards work as affirmations, not as analytical tools.
Do I need to know the Abraham-Hicks books to use this deck?
No. The cards are formulated in such a way that they are directly understandable even without prior knowledge of the Abraham teachings. Those who know the books will recognise the messages, but the deck works entirely on its own.
