Most goddess decks show their figures frontally, static, in a kind of timeless rest. This deck does something different. Arianna Farricella draws the goddesses in movement, in the middle of an action. That makes them more directly felt.
The Inspirational Goddesses Oracle contains 36 cards, each dedicated to a goddess from a specific culture. The emphasis is not on mythological stories, but on the virtue or quality that each goddess embodies. Courage, patience, creativity, assertiveness. Riccardo Minetti wrote the texts and chose goddesses from different continents.
The illustrations are colorful and detailed. Farricella works with a comic-influenced style that still has depth. You see facial expressions, postures, attributes that belong to each goddess.
The compositions are dynamic. Not frontal portraits, but figures that move, turn, point, call. That makes them activating. The colors are bright without being loud.
Each card bears the name of the goddess, her cultural origin, and the core quality she represents. In the guidebook you find background information and reflection questions.
This is a practical deck. You draw a card and see which quality asks for your attention today. No lengthy study, no complicated symbolism. Just clear focus.
Many people use it in the morning as a daily card. The question then is: what can I learn from this goddess today? Which attitude asks for attention? It also works well as a closing card after a tarot reading, to see which energy you can take with you.
Draw a card, place it on your desk or nightstand, and look at the goddess's posture a few times during the day. Sometimes an image works more powerfully than text.
Riccardo Minetti previously wrote the texts for the Epic Tarot and the Dark Mirror Oracle, both published by Lo Scarabeo. He specializes in distilling archetypes into usable, concrete qualities.
Arianna Farricella comes from the world of comics. Her background is visible in the way she positions characters: expressive, readable, with a clear emotional charge.
How does this deck differ from other goddess decks?
The illustrations show the goddesses in action rather than in static poses. That makes them more active and directly usable as a source of inspiration. The focus is on the concrete quality each goddess represents, not on her mythological story.
Is this deck suitable for beginners?
Yes. The cards have a clear message and the guidebook provides background information without requiring prior knowledge. The virtues are recognizable and accessible.
