Messages of Life - affirmations in colourful painting

Oracle cards with affirmations come in many forms. This version comes from the world of fine art. Mario Duguay has been painting luminous, ethereal work for years, and this set of 54 cards shows how he translates spiritual themes into soft, dreamlike compositions.

Each card carries both a painting and a full text. That text is not a brief keyword, but an affirmation or message that goes beyond a single sentence. You can simply read the card and immediately understand what it is about.

What you see on the cards

The images are colourful and soft, with plenty of blue, gold and pastel. Duguay's style is light and abstract, with shapes that suggest without spelling everything out. The emphasis is on atmosphere and vibration, not on clear lines or realistic detail.

The texts are long enough to work with. Some cards contain a few sentences, others a short paragraph. The language is direct and invites reflection, without esoteric jargon. Everything is in English.

How you work with them

Because the texts are already on the cards, you can start right away. Draw a card, read the message, and notice what it does for you. No symbols to decipher first, no guidebook to consult.

Many people place a card in front of them during meditation, or use it as a daily focus. The longer texts also lend themselves to journaling: read the card, write down what resonates.

Place the card you draw somewhere you will see it throughout the day. The affirmation works better when you encounter it a few times.

Mario Duguay lives and works in Quebec, Canada. He calls his work 'spiritual art' and focuses on capturing light and energy in paint. His paintings are exhibited internationally and hang in private collections around the world.

With Messages of Life he wanted to bring together art and affirmations in a form that people can use daily. It is one of his most accessible projects.

Does this set include a guidebook?
No. The texts on the cards are extensive enough to use without additional explanation. Each card contains a complete message or affirmation.

Are these cards comparable to a classic tarot or oracle deck?
No. This is not a system with fixed positions or symbolism. These are affirmations with images. You draw a card, read the text, and work with it however you choose.
