Queen of the Sun Oracle

Stacey Demarco designed this oracle as the counterpart to her Queen of the Moon Oracle. Where that deck turns inward, this one moves outward: action, vitality, and solar energy as a concrete force. Kinga Britschgi’s digital collage illustrations bring together astronomical phenomena like solar flares and eclipses with mythological figures including Ra, Amaterasu and Sekhmet.

  • Language: English
  • Quality: Matte finish, sturdy box by Rockpool Publishing

Product information

Queen of the Sun Oracle - solar cycles, mythology and seasons in 44 cards

Stacey Demarco's Queen of the Moon Oracle has built a wide following around the world. This deck is the other half: the same framework, a completely different energy. The sun is the subject here, not as a loose metaphor but as a concrete phenomenon with its own cycles, forces, and mythological figures stretching back thousands of years.

The illustrations come from Kinga Britschgi, a Hungarian-American artist who works in digital collage. She layers photography, classical painting and light effects into images that feel both contemporary and ancient. Solar flares, eclipses and seasonal transitions each get their own visual identity.

What the cards show

The 44 cards fall into four groups. The first follows solar cycles and seasons: sunrise, the solstices, the equinoxes and the Celtic Wheel of the Year. The second covers astronomical phenomena, with solar flares, eclipses, sunspots and solar storms used as imagery for transformation and sudden change.

The third group gathers solar deities from different traditions: Ra, Surya, Amaterasu, Helios and Sekhmet each appear on their own cards. The fourth focuses on fire and vitality as themes in themselves, covering expression, boundary-setting and personal energy.

How the guidebook works

The 120-page guidebook is written by Demarco herself. She explains the mythological background for each card, so prior knowledge of the figures is not required. The texts focus on manifestation, leadership, action and energy management. Those who already own the Queen of the Moon Oracle can use both guidebooks together for a complete picture of inner and outer forces.

Draw one card from this deck for the action you want to take today, and one from the Queen of the Moon Oracle for what is happening underneath. Using them together gives more than either deck does on its own.

About Stacey Demarco and Kinga Britschgi

Stacey Demarco is an Australian author known as 'The Modern Witch'.
