Sacred Rose Tarot Set - thirty-year classic with kabbalistic roots
The Sacred Rose Tarot Set is a tarot deck based on medieval stained glass art and Byzantine icons. The rose serves as the central symbol of spiritual growth throughout the deck. Geometric patterns and rich colours connect the imagery to the Kabbalah and the Tree of Life.
The deck was created by Johanna Gargiulo-Sherman and published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.
What the cards look like
The illustrations are rendered in a drawn style with ink lines and watercolour. The Three of Wands shows a standing figure in red and orange robes, a golden glow surrounding the head, set against a dark blue background with organic plant-like forms. Each card has a black decorative border and a white label at the bottom with the card name.
The backs of the cards show a purple background with brown and red decorative elements along the sides. The box has a soft matte finish. The front of the box features a female figure with long flowing hair holding a chalice, surrounded by leaves and flowers in green, gold and blue.
Who this deck is for and how to use it
The deck suits anyone drawn to kabbalistic symbolism. It has held its place as a classic for thirty years, recognised for its meditative quality and kabbalistic foundation.
