Sensual Wicca Tarot - intimacy as spiritual tool
Not every tarot deck dares to place the human body at the centre. This one does. The Sensual Wicca Tarot combines the structure of Rider-Waite-Smith with Wicca symbolism and presents sensuality as life force, not as side theme.
Created by Nada Mesar and illustrated by Elisa Poggese. Published by Lo Scarabeo in a deluxe set with purple satin bag, silver-lined and embroidered with sacred symbols.
What you see on the cards
The imagery is explicit. Figures are naked or dressed in fine fabrics, colours are warm and deep. Every card has a purple border framing the illustrations. The composition follows the Rider-Waite-Smith structure, but the perspective is different: the Great Goddess and the Horned God stand central, not as background but as force.
The lunar cycle returns in the archetypes of the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone. The cards emphasise the body as part of nature, not as something separate from it.
What sets this deck apart
The theme is sensuality as spiritual act. Not abstract, not symbolic at a distance, but direct and tangible. This makes the deck suitable for readings about relationships, desire and blocks in love. The illustrations force you to look honestly.
The symbolism is rooted in Wicca, but the themes are broader: nature, love, transformation. You do not need to be a Wicca practitioner to work with it.
Use this deck for questions you normally avoid. The sensual imagery brings underlying emotions to the surface faster than a neutral deck.

Questions we often get
Does this deck follow the Rider-Waite-Smith structure?
Yes. The structure of the arcana and the sequence are familiar. What is different is the imagery: explicit, modern and focused on the body as spiritual instrument.
Is this deck suitable for beginners?
That depends on what you want to work with. The structure is accessible, the guidebook offers basic information. But the imagery asks that you are open to intimacy and directness. If that does not put you off, the deck works well.
