Irene Captijn did not come to this deck through decades of cartomancy practice. She discovered Lenormand during a hospital stay in 2020, and decided to design her own cards. That starting point shows in the result: something made with personal investment, not assembled to a formula.
The Sweet Blossom Lenormand contains the traditional 36 Lenormand cards, plus two extra significator cards for same-sex readings. It is part of a seasonal series, alongside the Autumn's Embrace Lenormand and forthcoming summer and winter editions.
Blooming flowers appear on every card. Captijn is known for botanical detail and clear symbolism, and both are present here. The mood is light and oriented toward optimism, which fits the spring theme running through the deck.
