The Lantern Oracle - reflection on life stages and personal patterns
Oracle cards about feminine archetypes are common enough. This deck stands out in how it uses those archetypes: not as fixed labels, but as starting points for reflection. Each card asks a question instead of giving an answer.
Angelina Mirabito developed The Lantern Oracle from a background in psychology and mythology. Yuly Alejo painted the cards in an expressive style that centres diversity. No idealised images, but faces and bodies you might recognise from your own life.
What you see on the cards
The illustrations are painted in warm tones: ochre, rust red, soft greens. Each card shows a figure in a specific stance or posture. Sometimes in motion, sometimes still. The backgrounds remain abstract enough to keep focus on posture and gaze.
The cards have a matte finish that feels good for daily use. The size is 95 x 140 mm, slightly larger than standard playing cards. They sit firmly in the hand without feeling heavy.
How the guidebook works
The 144-page guidebook offers a description, a short interpretation and at least two reflection questions for each card. Those questions aim at recognition: where do you see this pattern in your own life, what emotion does it bring up, what would you like to let go or hold on to.
The texts are written in clear English and assume you need space to make your own connections. There are no spreads included, but there is an introduction on how to draw and question a daily card.
Draw a card and read only the reflection questions. Answer them in writing before you read the rest of the text. This forces you to find your own association first.
Who this deck is designed for
Angelina Mirabito explicitly aimed at people working with psychological patterns and life stages. The deck assumes you are open to self-reflection and willing to look at vulnerable themes.
The focus on feminine archetypes does not mean the deck is only for women. The themes (acceptance, transition, vulnerability, wisdom) are universal enough to be recognised by anyone.

Questions we often get
Are the cards and guidebook available in other languages?
No, both are in English. The language in the guidebook is clear and direct, no esoteric jargon. Basic English is sufficient to understand the texts.
How does this deck differ from a tarot deck?
A tarot deck has a fixed structure of 78 cards divided into major and minor arcana. This oracle has 44 cards without fixed order or hierarchy. You draw a card and use the reflection questions to form your own interpretation.
