Fairy tales are older than the versions you read as a child. Before Disney, before polished children's poetry, they were folk tales with sharp edges. About loss, betrayal, longing and the price of change. Olena Us returns to those older layers.
The Timeless Tales Oracle consists of 54 cards based on classic stories such as Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and other archetypal figures from myths and legends. Each character, each trial functions as a mirror for your own inner patterns.
The illustrations are dreamlike and symbolic, with soft colour transitions and a style reminiscent of Art Nouveau prints. No sharp lines, but flowing forms that blur the boundary between reality and imagination.
The cards are printed on 350-gsm cardstock with a matte finish. The size is 70 x 120 mm, standard tarot dimensions. They feel solid, shuffle smoothly and the matte finish resists fingerprints.
The accompanying book goes beyond card meanings. Olena Us describes the origin of each story, the symbolism and how you can recognise it in your own life. The texts are rich enough to read slowly, not as reference material but as deepening.

Olena Us is a Ukrainian artist and designer who previously created the Lucid Minds Tarot and the Fata Morgana Oracle. Her work is characterised by a dreamlike, almost ethereal aesthetic in which symbolism and intuition come together.
She works from the idea that old stories are not fixed, but can be read anew again and again. Each deck she creates is a new translation of that idea.
Do I need to know the original fairy tales to work with this deck?
No, but it helps. The book gives enough context per card, but if you recognise the story, you see more quickly which layer applies to your situation.
Does this deck follow the structure of tarot?
No. This is an oracle with 54 cards, not 78. There are no fixed arcana, no court series. The structure is free and follows the themes of the stories themselves.
