Yoga Wisdom Oracle Cards - philosophy and posture linked on each card
Yoga philosophy is often about words. This deck works a little differently. Each card pairs a yoga posture with a spiritual message. You do not just read, you take the posture and feel what the text says.
Yoga Wisdom Oracle Cards is a 40-card oracle deck, created by Anthony Salerno and illustrated by Pablo Romero. The texts are based on sources such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. These are not loosely interpreted affirmations, but messages that come directly from classical yoga philosophy.
What you see on the cards
Each card shows a figure in a yoga posture, rendered in watercolour. The colours are warm, soft shades of orange, pink, yellow and blue dominate. The style is fluid, almost meditative, with no hard lines.
The cards are larger than standard format, 125 by 170 mm, which fits the idea that you lay them in front of you while taking the posture. Each card carries the name of the asana and the core message. The more detailed explanation is in the 64-page guidebook.
How you use this deck
The most logical use is: draw a card, read the message, take the posture. This can be in the morning as a start to the day, or before or after a yoga session. It is not about a perfect execution of the posture, but about physically experiencing what the card describes.
The guidebook gives background information per card and explains how the posture works. It is not an instruction book for yoga, so some basic knowledge of asanas helps, but is not strictly necessary.
Draw a card, hold the posture for a few breaths and see if the message lands differently than if you had only read it. That contrast is what this deck is about.

Questions we often get
Do I need experience with yoga to use this deck?
Basic understanding of yoga postures helps, but is not required. The guidebook describes each asana. If you have never done yoga, you can perform the postures at your own level or just read the message.
How does this deck differ from a standard oracle deck?
Most oracle decks limit themselves to a message or affirmation. This deck adds a physical action: the yoga posture. That makes the experience more embodied and less abstract.
