The Haptic Tarot

The Haptic Tarot puts hands at the centre of every image, using gesture and touch as the primary language of meaning. Designer and tarot reader Nick Jacobs drew on the visual world of early Flemish Renaissance painter Jan van Eyck, creating 79 cards through a carefully guided generative AI process that brings Smith-Waite symbolism together with the rich, detailed realism of 15th-century oil painting. The deck includes a bonus card, The Reader, and a 60-page guidebook with three keywords per card and three tarot spreads.
