Bianca Ana Chavez

Bianca Ana Chavez is a painter and botanical illustrator, born in Salinas, California. Many of the flowers in her paintings are inspired by memories of her childhood on the Central Coast. In her early years, Bianca exhibited her work in cafes, galleries, and festivals in California, Hawaii, Washington, and Mexico. Her love for plants led her to earn a certificate in scientific illustration from the University of Washington. Currently, Bianca resides in Kamakura, Japan, where she studies the nihonga style of painting with her 95-year-old teacher.
