Judgement is the card of honest reckoning. Card twenty of the major arcana is about understanding: looking clearly at the past, making peace with it, and stepping into the present with a lighter heart.
When it appears, it often marks a moment of realisation and a fresh sense of freedom.
What Judgement means
Judgement is concerned with understanding and with clearing away the emotions of the past. It reminds you that the past is a story you carry rather than something happening now, and that seeing this clearly lets you set old feelings down.
In a reading Judgement leads towards forgiveness, of others and of yourself. It is the emotional freedom to accept what was, release what might have been, and live fully in the present. It often feels like waking up to a clearer sense of who you are.
