Not every oracle deck asks you to study before you can use it. Alchemy of the Spirit is built on the idea that symbolism is something you recognise, not something you memorise. Cristina González structured her first deck around three distinct categories: Situations, Spirits and Symbols.
González trained as a designer, but her deeper interest has always been psychology, tarot and astrology as tools for self-knowledge. That comes through in a deck that does not float above everyday life but tries to land close to the person holding the card.
All 63 illustrations are hand-drawn and full of colour without feeling crowded. Pastel tones dominate: soft pinks, pale golds, hazy blues. The imagery is expressive without being chaotic, and each card carries both a visual and a written message.
The mood is delicate and grown-up at once. People describe the aesthetic as ethereal but not childlike, and that reads true: the illustrations have a dreamlike quality that still holds its ground. This is not a deck that shrinks itself.
The division into Situations, Spirits and Symbols gives structure to a reading, even with little experience. Situation cards describe circumstances, Spirits represent inner forces or figures, Symbols point toward deeper layers of meaning. That structure makes a pull concrete rather than open-ended in an unhelpful way.
The deck includes a guidebook with explanations for each card. Many people draw one card daily and use it as a starting point for journaling.
Pull one card with a specific question in mind, then write for five minutes without stopping. The three categories help you name what the card is touching: a circumstance, an inner force, or something larger.

Both are in English. The cards carry written messages, and the guidebook provides an explanation for each card.
How does this differ from a standard tarot deck?
These are oracle cards, not tarot cards. There is no fixed structure like Major and Minor Arcana. Instead the deck uses its own three categories: Situations, Spirits and Symbols. No knowledge of tarot is needed to use it.
