Some decks choose mystique. This one chooses joy. The Caticorn Tarot sends cats with horns, wings and rainbow tails through the traditional tarot structure, without letting go of the message of each card.
Pamela Chen designed the concept. Delphine Dion drew. Together they bring a deck that looks light but remains workable when you lay the cards out. Every figure is a cat-unicorn hybrid, every scene is built around the same archetypes you find in the Rider-Waite system.
The colours are bright and clear. Pink, blue, purple and gold dominate. Backgrounds are often flat or filled with stars, clouds and rainbows. The compositions are simple: one or two figures, clearly placed centre stage.
The symbolism follows the Rider-Waite structure. The Fool stands on a cliff, the Magician has his tools on the table, the Hermit carries his lamp. Only now all the people are Caticorns. That makes the scenes lighter, but no less recognisable if you know the basics.
The cards are large: 114 × 165 mm. That is wider and longer than standard tarot size. In your hand they feel sturdy, the cardstock is thick enough to shuffle easily without bending.
This deck is designed for beginners. The 88-page guidebook explains each card, both upright and reversed. The tone is welcoming and positive, without too much esoteric depth.
Many people who buy this deck are looking for something that feels light. No dark symbolism, no heavy archetypes. Just a deck you can pull from daily without it weighing down your day.

Does this deck follow the traditional tarot structure?
Yes. The 78 cards follow the Rider-Waite system: 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana divided across four suits. The symbolism is simplified and made friendlier, but the foundation remains the same.
Are the cards suitable for children?
That depends on age and interest. The imagery is accessible and cheerful, the guidebook explains the cards clearly. For teenagers and young people who are curious about tarot, this deck works well.
