Caitlin McCarthy is an artist and illustrator based in Northern California, where she lives with her partner and their daughter. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from Dominican University. Since childhood, she has been drawn to drawing and to themes of the occult, feminine symbolism, and an aesthetic that can feel dark and dreamlike.
She works primarily with graphite on paper, which gives her imagery a detailed, atmospheric quality. Female figures often appear in her work as seers, mystics, goddesses, and witches. Gothic, Victorian, and occult influences weave together into a style that feels powerful while staying introspective. She regularly shares her art on Instagram under @caitlinmccarthyart.
