Divination of the Ancients - 45 ancient divination methods in one deck
Most oracle decks focus on one system. This deck gathers 45. From runes and astrology to smoke patterns and auras: each card describes a different technique once used to find answers.
The deck is created by Barbara Meiklejohn-Free and Flavia Kate Peters, two writers and spiritual teachers specialised in shamanism. Richard Crookes illustrated the cards in a style that is both detailed and mystical. The colours are dark, with plenty of purple, blue and gold.
What you see on the cards
Each card shows a symbol or technique. Think crystals, numerology, omens from nature, or cosmic timing. The illustrations are rich in detail and work as a visual introduction to the technique.
The guidebook describes what each method involves, how to work with it, and what questions you can explore. There are also reflection questions to help you apply the technique to your own situation.
How you use this deck
You can draw a card as a daily message, but the deck is also designed to broaden your knowledge. Many people pick one card, read the explanation in the guidebook, and try out the technique for a while.
The cards have no fixed structure like tarot. It is a collection of separate methods, each with its own background and application.
Draw a card and try to recognise the symbol in your surroundings throughout the day. This trains your ability to notice patterns and signs more quickly.

Questions we often get
Do you need to actually perform the techniques from the book or can you just read the cards?
The cards work without performing the techniques yourself. The guidebook offers context and background, but you can also use a card's message simply as daily reflection.
How does this differ from a tarot deck?
This is an oracle deck without fixed structure. Tarot has 78 cards divided into major and minor arcana. This deck has 45 cards, each focused on a different ancient divination technique.
