The set combines 36 classic Lenormand cards with a 240-page guidebook. That guidebook is not a list of symbols but a workbook that takes you from single card meanings to card combinations, and then to the full Grand Tableau.

What you see on the cards

The imagery is traditional. Each symbol is clear: the key, the letter, the path, the ring, the fox. No extra layers, no hidden meanings in the background. What you see is what you read.

The cards are printed on sturdy cardstock, standard format of about 60 x 90 mm. Small enough to lay out a Grand Tableau of 36 cards on a table without needing extra space.

How the guidebook works

Katz and Goodwin start at the beginning: what does each card mean on its own. Then you learn to combine cards, first in pairs, then in rows of three. Each chapter includes exercises you can do right away.

How this differs from tarot

Lenormand cards are more direct than tarot. Where tarot often focuses on inner processes, Lenormand answers concrete questions: will that letter arrive, will that person contact you, will you get that conversation. The cards describe what happens, not how you feel about it.
