Egyptian Gods Oracle Cards - tempera on papyrus with 36 Egyptian deities
Egyptian mythology lives on through symbols, colours and stories that have travelled for millennia. This oracle deck brings that world back to imagery you can use directly. 36 cards, each devoted to a god or goddess. Not abstract interpretations, but classical tempera style on papyrus that feels like a fragment from an ancient temple.
Silvana Alasia illustrated the cards with strong colours and clear lines. The papyrus background gives texture, the hieroglyphs are not decorative but part of the meaning. You see Ra with the solar disc, Horus with the falcon head, Thoth with the lunar crescent. The symbolism is recognisable if you know even a little of Egyptian iconography.
What you find on the cards
Each card shows one deity in full figure, surrounded by attributes and symbols belonging to that god. The colours are warm: ochre yellow, terracotta, lapis lazuli blue, gold leaf. The papyrus gives a slight mottling that makes the whole thing organic.
The cards contain no text. Each card does show hieroglyphs representing the name of the deity. The guidebook translates those names and explains what power each god represents: creation, protection, wisdom, transformation, balance.
The 88 x 125 mm format is standard oracle size. The card stock is matte and has grip. The cards are not laminated, which enhances the visual effect of the papyrus structure.
How you can work with them
This deck revolves around archetypal power. Each deity stands for a certain type of energy. Pull Sekhmet and it is about rage and transformation. Pull Maat and the focus shifts to truth and balance. The 128-page guidebook gives a description of the god for each card, the associated symbolism and suggestions for application.
The cards work for daily draws or larger spreads. The booklet contains no layouts, but enough context to make connections yourself. The symbolism is powerful enough to work without the book as well, if you know the basic stories.
Pull a card before bed and place it on your bedside table. Look the next morning at which aspect of that deity comes to you first.
