Green Glyphs Box Set - four divination systems in one complete box
Tarot, oracle, Lenormand and runes are four separate systems, each with its own logic and its own learning curve. The Green Glyphs Box Set puts them all together and adds a 380-page hardcover glossary that explains how to use them as one combined system. That is an unusual approach, and it gives the set a coherence that most multi-deck collections lack.
All the work in this set comes from James, who designed and wrote every deck within what he calls the Visions Universe. Each individual deck carries the same colour-coding: yellow and gold indicate favourable cards, orange indicates unfavourable ones. That consistency makes it easier to move between systems without losing your footing.
What each deck contains
The Green Glyphs Tarot has 78 cards with gilded edges and a 120-page guidebook. The 22 major arcana cards form one continuous panoramic image when laid side by side. Each suit in the minor arcana tells its own myth or story.
The Green Glyphs Oracle contains 50 cards with gold accents. James deliberately left out the colour-coding in this deck because he did not want to attach prior associations to the imagery. The symbolism draws from his own visual language, including a recurring gazebo motif that he uses as a symbol of celebration and presence in the moment.
The Green Glyphs Lenormand is a revised second edition of the deck originally published in 2019. It has 41 cards, uses colour-coding to support quick readings, and includes an 80-page guidebook. The box, card finish and gilding have all been improved from the first edition.
The Green Glyphs Runes & Dice set contains 33 cards with gilded edges, a 65-page guidebook and four runic dice in a custom orange box. The cards are based on the 24 classical runes (Elder Futhark), an early Nordic divination system that has existed for millennia. Each card shows the runic symbol, the traditional name and an illustration that represents the meaning. The four dice can be used alongside the cards or on their own. A drawstring pouch is not included.
The glossary and card holder
The glossary is a 380-page hardcover book that brings together the full content of all four individual guidebooks. It also includes a guide to using all four systems as one large hybrid deck. That makes it considerably more than a summary volume.
The double-sided card holder has four angled slots, one per deck. One side shows a spring scene, the other a autumn scene. It is designed to display one card from each system at a time.
Who this set works for
James describes the tarot and the Lenormand explicitly as suitable for beginners, thanks to the colour-coding. The rune card deck was also designed to bridge the gap between symbol and meaning for people new to runes. The oracle cards are described as accessible for beginners and experienced readers alike.
Anyone already working with one of these systems who wants to learn the others will find a clear structure for that in the shared visual language and the glossary.
If you already use one of the Green Glyphs decks and want to understand how they work together, the glossary gives you a practical guide to combined use, not just background reading.
About the creator
James developed all four decks and all the accompanying writing himself. His systems share a visual language built around colour as the primary key to interpretation. The rune, Lenormand and tarot guidebooks each include his personal account of the learning process he went through when studying that system.
