Healing Light Lenormand Oracle - Lenormand with cosmic imagery
Lenormand decks tend to be compact, earthy and spare. This one is not. Christopher Butler draws the 36 classic cards plus two extra person cards in an environment of star nebulae, light rays and energetic colour shifts. The difference from a traditional Lenormand deck is immediately visible.
The format is larger than average: 102 x 133 mm. That is a deliberate choice. The detailed images ask for space. Each card shows a cosmic scene in which the Lenormand symbol takes centre stage, but surrounded by light and colour.
What you see on the cards
The Ring floats among stars, the Key glows in an energy field, the Flowers grow against a backdrop of galactic nebulae. Butler keeps to the classic Lenormand symbols but places them in a context that suggests more than prediction alone. The imagery asks for interpretation on multiple levels.
The colours are intense: deep violets, warm golden tones, bright turquoises. The finish is matte, which gives the cards a calm presence despite the colour strength. The cardstock is sturdy enough for daily use.
Extra person cards
In addition to the 36 standard cards, the deck includes a second set of Man and Woman cards. This gives more room in readings where multiple people play a role, or when the standard gender assignment does not fit. You can use them however you like: as extra person cards, as alternatives, or simply as spares.
Try a Grand Tableau with both sets of person cards in it. See which version lands where and what that says about the different roles someone can take in a situation.
Who this deck works for
This deck assumes you already know the Lenormand symbols. There is an instruction booklet included, but the explanation is brief. The focus is on the images themselves. If you are looking for a visually rich alternative to the classic Lenormand deck and you are not put off by a larger format, this is a logical choice.
The larger format makes the deck less suitable for travel, but works very well for table spreads where you want to see the cards clearly. The Grand Tableau requires a bit more space than with a standard Lenormand deck.

Questions we often get
Why are the cards larger than in most Lenormand decks?
The larger format gives the detailed cosmic images more space. Butler chose visual impact over portability. This works well for table spreads, less so for travel.
Are the extra person cards a replacement or an addition?
An addition. You can choose whether to use them or not. They give more flexibility in readings with multiple people or when the standard Man/Woman assignment does not fit the question.
