Het Kruiden Astrologie Orakel - plants and planets in 55 cards
Not every oracle has such a clear structure. Each card in this Dutch-language deck shows a medicinal plant, paired with a planet or zodiac sign. That link forms the interpretive framework: nettle with Mars, chamomile with the Sun, lavender with Mercury.
The oracle was created by Adriana Ayales, an herbalist working with medicinal plants, and illustrated by Joséphine Klerks. The botanical drawings are soft in line, detailed enough to recognize the plant, but not overly technical. The planetary symbols appear subtly on each card. The result is calm to look at.
What you see on the cards
Each illustration shows a plant in whole or in detail: flowers, leaves, stems, sometimes roots. The drawing style resembles classic herbal books, but with a soft graphic approach. There is no overloaded symbolism, no colorful esoterica. The name of the plant and its corresponding planet are clearly stated on each card.
The 166-page guidebook gives a description of each plant, its planetary influence and a brief interpretation. It also contains practical rituals around moon phases, which you can use when working with the cards during new or full moon.
How you work with it
The plant-planet structure makes this oracle easy to read. You draw a card, read the meaning in the guidebook and immediately have something concrete: a plant with properties, linked to a planetary energy. This works well for a daily draw.
Adriana Ayales built this oracle on her practical knowledge of herbs. That means the descriptions are not only symbolic, but also refer to the actual properties of the plant. Those familiar with herbalism or phytotherapy will recognize that information.
Look at the illustration for a few moments before opening the guidebook. Often the plant depicted says more than the text alone.

Questions we often get
Do you need astrological knowledge to use this oracle?
No. The guidebook clearly explains the meaning of each card, including the planetary correspondence. You can start working with it immediately without prior knowledge of astrology. Those already familiar with astrology will find an extra layer of interpretation in the connection between plant and planet.
Is this suitable if you have never worked with an oracle before?
Yes. The structure is clear: each card shows a plant with a planetary link, and the guidebook describes what that means. You do not need tarot knowledge or previous experience with oracles.
