Imagine & Believe Oracle - colourful oracle cards for young dreamers
This is a deck that makes no apology for its brightness. New Zealand artist and writer Lynda Bell has filled fifty cards with animals, rainbows, sparkling skies and fairytale figures. The message is straightforward: children are allowed to dream, and that dreaming matters.
Bell comes from a background in fine art, design and art therapy. Her interest in archetypes and symbolism as tools for growth and self-understanding forms the foundation of this deck. That shows: the cards are joyful in colour, but not superficial in intention.
What you see on the cards
Each card carries one of Bell's illustrations: colourful animals, shimmering skies, festive gatherings and playful figures. On the other side of every card sits a short, encouraging message in plain language. There are no keywords or tarot correspondences. This is a standalone oracle, designed to be read and felt.
The cards measure 78 by 125 mm and come in a hardcover box. That format fits comfortably in a child's hands, but is equally pleasant for adults to hold.
Beyond the children's shelf
The deck is aimed at young dreamers, but in practice adults use it too. In online discussions about oracle cards, Imagine & Believe comes up regularly as a tool for inner child work, or as a gentle choice for people who need friendly, non-threatening imagery after a difficult period.
That says something about Bell's work. Her style is warm without being sentimental, and her messages are positive without sounding like empty encouragement.
Draw a card and read the message out loud. For children it becomes a small ritual; for adults, a moment to slow down.
About Lynda Bell
Lynda Bell lives and works in the far north of New Zealand, surrounded by hills, trees and, by her own account, mythical creatures. She has training in fine art, design and art therapy, and weaves that background into her creative practice.
Her paintings centre on animals and the connection between people and the natural world. In her work, humans and animals are on equal footing, and everything imagined is possible. Her interest in archetypes and storytelling as a path to positive change is what first sparked the idea for this oracle deck.
