Journey to the Goddess Realm - 36 goddesses and three affirmation cards
Most oracle decks choose one pantheon. This deck breaks that choice. Lisa Porter has gathered 36 goddesses from different cultures and added three separate affirmation cards that act as signposts during a reading.
The result is a deck that works across contexts, especially if you work with archetypal energy and do not want to limit yourself to one tradition. The cards are large enough to see detail, matte finished so they do not reflect, and sturdy enough for regular use.
What you see on the cards
Each card carries the name of a goddess and shows her in an illustration that attempts to capture the energy of that archetype. Isis, Kali, Quan Yin, Rhiannon and 32 others appear. The style is decorative, with attention to colour and symbolism.
The three additional cards (Negation, Affirmation and Revelation) are structured differently. They contain no goddess, but a message. You can use them as a final card in a spread to see whether something is confirmed, rejected or not yet fully visible.
How the guidebook is structured
The 48-page guidebook describes each goddess briefly: her origin, her core qualities and her shadow aspect. Each card includes keywords, which speeds up the search.
There are no detailed spreads. What you do get per goddess is enough information to make connections yourself between the card and your question.
Draw a card in the morning and hold onto that goddess's core quality for a day. Ask yourself how she would act in the situations you encounter.
Who this deck is designed for
This deck assumes you have some experience with oracle cards or tarot. The descriptions in the guidebook are compact. You have to make the translation from archetype to situation yourself.
It works well if you are interested in feminine archetypes from different cultures and do not necessarily want to follow one tradition. The three affirmation cards make the deck suitable for yes/no questions, which not every oracle deck allows.

Questions we often get
What do the three affirmation cards do exactly?
They provide a directional answer. Negation indicates that something is not the right direction, Affirmation confirms, and Revelation indicates that information is still missing or that something still needs to unfold. You can use them as a final card in a spread.
Are the goddesses grouped by culture or tradition?
No. The cards are not ordered by pantheon. You will find Egyptian, Celtic, Hindu and other goddesses mixed together. The guidebook does provide the cultural context for each goddess.
