Jungian Archetypes Oracle - psychology as oracle language
Not all oracle decks aim for prediction. Some help you see the patterns that drive your own choices. This deck translates Jungian archetypes into 36 cards that are workable, without simplifying the psychological weight.
Giacomo Guccinelli has visualised the classic archetypes from Carl Jung's work with sharp, modern imagery. The Mother, the Hero, the Trickster, the Shadow: they are recognisable without becoming clichés. Each archetype gets its own visual language that works directly, even if you do not know Jung's theories.
What you see on the cards
The imagery is figurative and clear. No abstract symbols or hidden layers that need deciphering first. Each card shows a human figure or situation that embodies an archetypal pattern.
The format is larger than usual (88 x 125 mm), which makes the details easy to read. The colours are saturated, the compositions tight. This is not a decorative deck. It is built to work with.
The multilingual guidebook gives context for each archetype: where it comes from in Jungian psychology, what shadow side belongs to it, and how it can manifest in your daily life.
How you work with it
This deck lends itself to daily reflection. Draw a card and notice which archetype is dominant in your behaviour or your environment. Not as prediction, but as mirror.
It also works as complement to a tarot reading. Where tarot often sketches the situation, this oracle shows which role you yourself play in that situation. Which pattern you repeat. Which part of yourself you send forward.
Lay the card in front of you and ask yourself: when did I see this pattern today? Not in abstract terms, but concretely. That makes the archetype workable.
About Giacomo Guccinelli
