Mandala Healing Cards - 44 round cards for meditation and self-inquiry
Round cards shuffle differently. They sit differently in your hand. And they force you to look at an image in a different way, because there is no top or bottom.
The Mandala Healing Cards by Denise Jarvie and illustrator Lindy Longhurst consist of 44 cards, each designed as a symmetrical mandala. The circular form refers to wholeness and cycle, as is common in many spiritual traditions. The guidebook offers more than just card meanings: it includes meditations, a colour guide that explains what tones symbolise, and writing prompts for those who want to journal with the cards.
What you see on the cards
Each mandala is built from symmetrical patterns in a rich colour palette. No photography, no collage, but detailed illustration work that you can keep looking at. Lindy Longhurst has worked out each design so that the cards can also function as artworks independent of a reading.
The themes revolve around healing, inner strength and self-knowledge. Colour plays a deliberate role: the guidebook explains what emotional and energetic meaning is assigned to the different tones. That makes it possible to read a card both through its image and through its colour.
How you work with it
The cards are suitable for a daily single draw, but the guidebook also describes more elaborate spreads. Because the messages are directly readable, you can start working immediately without prior knowledge of tarot or oracle systems.
The round form asks for a different approach. You can view a card from multiple angles, literally. That invites you to look at a question less schematically. For those used to rectangular cards, this may take some getting used to, but that shift is precisely what makes this deck interesting.
Look at the centre of a mandala for a few minutes before you read the meaning. That directs your attention and lets the card come in differently.

Questions we often get
What is the difference between round and rectangular cards in a reading?
Round cards have no fixed top or bottom, which means the direction of the card is less directive. That can help you look at a question less schematically. The circular form connects to cyclical thinking and wholeness.
Does the guidebook contain only brief keywords or extensive texts?
The guidebook offers detailed interpretations for each card, meditations, a colour guide, spreads and writing prompts. It is a full companion, not a word list.
