Millennium Thoth tarot - digital reinterpretation of Crowley's system
The Thoth system by Aleister Crowley is not an easy starting point. Anyone picking up this deck likely already knows the symbolism, the astrology and the Kabbalistic structure. This Millennium Thoth tarot translates that knowledge into a contemporary visual language.
The illustrations are entirely digital. No watercolour like Frieda Harris used, but sharp lines, vivid colours and a graphic approach. The symbolism remains intact: the same planets, the same Hebrew alphabet, the same attributes. But the atmosphere is different. Where the original has warm, flowing colour transitions, this deck opts for contrast and clarity.
What you see on the cards
Each major arcana carries a Hebrew letter and an astrological symbol. The court cards follow the quartet structure: knight, queen, prince and princess. The minor arcana are thematic and symbolic, not scenic like in a Rider-Waite deck.
The colours are saturated. Blue, red, yellow and green dominate, often without intermediate shades. That makes the cards striking, but also much less subtle than the original.
Who this deck works for
This is not a beginner deck. If you are unfamiliar with the Thoth system, you will miss context. The cards are not intuitive to read without knowledge of Crowley's attributions. The guidebook offers basic information, but do not expect detailed explanations of every symbolic layer.
Many people who buy this deck already own the original Thoth tarot and are curious about a different visual take. Or they are looking for a deck that feels less fragile than vintage reproductions.
Lay both versions side by side and notice how differently the same symbolism can feel. The difference lies in colour and line, not in structure.

Questions we often get
Is this an official version of the Thoth tarot?
No. This is a reinterpretation by a different illustrator, based on Crowley's system. The original Thoth tarot was drawn by Frieda Harris and published by U.S. Games Systems and AGM-Urania.
Does the symbolism differ from the original?
The structure and attributions remain the same. What differs is the visual language: digital instead of painted, graphic instead of flowing. The essence is still Crowley, the execution is new.
