Oracle of the Trees - 32 trees with mythological roots
Trees carry stories. In old cultures they were always more than plants: boundary posts between heaven and earth, keepers of knowledge, symbols of life and death. This oracle brings those traditional meanings together.
Oracle of the Trees is illustrated by Mariuccia d'Angiò and written by Francesca Romana Valente. The cards show 32 tree species, from oak and birch to baobab and cypress. Each tree has its own history in mythology, and each has its own message.
What you see on the cards
The illustrations are detailed and botanically recognizable. D'Angiò draws the trees as they are: with their characteristic leaves, bark and growth form. Colours are saturated without becoming busy. The style is realistic, not stylized.
Below each tree stands the name. On the back is a classic pattern with leaf motifs. The cardstock is matte and sturdy enough for daily use.
What the guidebook tells you
The guidebook combines three things: botanical information, mythological context and spiritual meaning. For each tree you read about the place this species had in ancient legends, and what the tree can tell you in a reading about growth, strength, letting go or protection.
It also includes practical applications: how trees have different energy in different seasons, and how you can use that when drawing cards. The book is not thick, but the information is just enough to go beyond intuition alone.
Draw a card, find the tree on a walk and observe it there. That makes the meaning more concrete than just reading the text.
