Celtic folklore speaks of the 'otherworld': a realm that exists beside our own, populated by beings you do not see but can sense. Elves, nature spirits, places where the veil is thin. Sandra Caputo has drawn that world in 36 oracle cards.
Her style is soft and dreamlike. Warm colours, plenty of light, flowers and trees that feel almost tangible. The beings she draws are not distant fantasy figures, but creatures you might encounter on a walk if you pay attention.
Each card shows a being or a place. No symbols, no abstract shapes. Simply the inhabitant of the otherworld, as Caputo sees it. The colours are emotionally rich. Lots of green, blue, pink and gold. The imagery is detailed without becoming overwhelming.
The guidebook gives a meaning and a story for each card. That story tells you who the being is, where it belongs and what it can teach you. Over time you build up a picture of the world these cards speak of.

What is the difference between this oracle and a tarot deck?
This is an oracle card set with 36 cards. Each card stands on its own and shows a being or place from folklore. There is no fixed structure like the Major or Minor Arcana in tarot. You work with the cards intuitively, not according to a system.
Do I need to know folklore to work with these cards?
No. The guidebook gives the story behind each being and its meaning. You need no prior knowledge. The stories are clearly written and form part of the experience.
