Pathwork Oracle - mudras, meditation and Green Tara
Oracle decks that include meditation tools in the box are rare. This one contains twenty-one guided audio meditations, one for almost every second card. That is not an extra. It is part of the design.
Pathwork Oracle is a collaboration between therapist Daniel Ahearn and illustrator Ana Tourian. The starting point is Green Tara, the Buddhist archetype of compassion. Mudras also play a role: hand gestures used in meditation and ritual to strengthen intention. The cards are not about prediction. They are about reflection and energetic alignment.
What you see on the cards
Ana Tourian drew forty illustrations in warm earth tones, with gold, green and soft red as recurring colours. The style is figurative and symbolic at once. You see people in gestures, flowers, hands, light. The imagery leans on Buddhist and Hindu iconography but remains accessible.
Each card has a title and a keyword. The guidebook explains the symbolism and describes what the card can mean in different contexts. Ahearn writes clearly and avoids jargon.
How the meditations work
The audio meditations are spoken by Ahearn himself. Each session lasts between six and twelve minutes. You draw a card, look at the image, and listen to the corresponding meditation. It combines visualisation with breathwork and sometimes the physical forming of a mudra.
The approach is calm and slow. These are not quick affirmations. You need time for them. For those who already have meditation in their daily practice, it feels like a logical extension. For those who do not, it may feel like a threshold.
Draw a card in the morning, listen to the meditation before your day begins. Let the intention of the mudra carry through your day.
Who this works for
This deck is not designed for spreads or question-based readings. It focuses on daily reflection, mindfulness and intention-setting. If you are looking for a classic divination tool, this is not the right choice. If you are interested in Buddhist or contemplative practices and want to link them to a visual medium, this deck fits that search.
The audio meditations make this deck suitable for people already familiar with guided meditation. They assume a degree of quiet and concentration. You can use the cards without the audio, but you will miss a large part of the intention.

Questions we often get
Are the audio meditations required to use the deck?
No, but they form a large part of the concept. You can use the cards without the audio, but then you work mainly with the images and the texts in the guidebook. The meditations give depth and structure to the practice.
Is this deck suitable if you have never meditated before?
It depends. The meditations are calm and clearly spoken, but they do assume some experience with stillness and concentration. If you are new to meditation, you can start with short sessions and follow the instructions step by step.
