This is not a deck that gives you instructions. Cilla Conway designed The Intuitive Tarot to combine classical tarot structure with room for your own associations. The second edition keeps that approach intact.
The cards have no borders. The image runs all the way to the edge of the cardstock. That creates an open feeling during readings and shifts attention differently than traditional decks with white frames.
The images are vivid and compact. Conway uses bright colours, lots of movement, and human figures that are recognizable without trying to be realistic. The style suggests watercolour and gouache, with a hand-drawn texture.
Each of the 78 cards follows the Rider-Waite-Smith structure: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana divided across four suits. The symbolism aligns with RWS, but the execution is freer. Details differ. Facial expressions are stronger.
