The Rider-Waite-Smith tarot is the foundation most readers know. This deck takes that foundation and sets it entirely within the season of autumn, with imagery that moves between the warmth of Mabon (the autumn equinox, celebrated around 21 or 22 September) and the shadow world of Samhain (pronounced 'sah-win', the Celtic festival on 31 October). Cosy blankets and falling leaves sit alongside veiled figures and creatures from the dark half of the year.
The Seasons of the Witch series already exists as an oracle card range. This is its tarot counterpart, focused on autumn. Lorriane Anderson wrote the content; Tijana Lukovic drew the illustrations.
The 22 Major Arcana cards carry entirely new names in this deck. Instead of the Fool and the World, the sequence runs from Descending to Winter. Those names are rooted in the iconography of Mabon: harvest, letting go, and the transition into the darker half of the year. The 56 Minor Arcana follows the classic Rider-Waite-Smith structure, but is drawn entirely within the same autumn visual world.

Lorriane Anderson describes the seasons, moon phases and witch sabbats (the eight seasonal festivals in the wheel of the year) as entry points for personal growth. She is the creator and author of the entire Seasons of the Witch series, which began as oracle cards and now extends into tarot. Tijana Lukovic illustrated this autumn volume.

The structure is the same: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana cards do carry entirely new names tied to the autumn cycle rather than the traditional titles. Anyone familiar with the classic deck will notice that shift immediately.
