The 44 cards were written by Juliet Diaz and Lorriane Anderson, two authors working from distinct personal backgrounds. Diaz comes from a long line of curanderos and brujas, and is a bohuiti, a healer, of the Higuayagua community. Anderson works as a tarot reader, astrologer, and spiritual teacher, focusing on intentional living and healing practices. Together they bring a card set grounded in healing traditions, not in seasonal aesthetics alone.
Each of the 44 cards carries a healing message aligned with the energy of Yule: reflection, gratitude, the capacity to endure difficult periods, and the support found in those close to you. The guidebook runs to 144 pages and covers the meaning of every card in full. The cards themselves feature gilded edges.
This is an oracle, not a tarot. There is no major or minor arcana structure. You draw a card, read the message, and connect it to your own situation. The guidebook supports that process card by card.

Juliet Diaz is an Indigenous Taino Cubana from a long line of curanderos (healers) and brujas on both sides of her family. She is a bohuiti, a healer, of the Higuayagua tribe. Her contribution to this oracle is rooted in that family tradition.
Lorriane Anderson is a tarot reader, astrologer, writer, and spiritual teacher. She runs Spirit Element, a supplier for spiritual-based businesses, and The Practice of Self, a school for spiritual practice. She is based in Los Angeles. Her previous publications include the Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle and The Earthcraft Oracle.
Is this oracle only usable during winter?
The cards are built around Yule themes, but the messages themselves deal with reflection, endurance, gratitude, and community. Those themes are not limited to December. Many people use it year-round, particularly during quieter or more difficult stretches.
Does this set belong to a larger series?
Yes. The Seasons of the Witch series covers multiple seasonal moments. Lorriane Anderson also published the Samhain Oracle in the same series. Each set stands on its own and works independently.
