Seeker Oracle - 55 cards with symbol-rich illustrations
Some oracle cards are straightforward. This deck asks you to look. Really look. The cards are full of symbols, landscapes, figures and details that may not be immediately obvious at first glance.
The Seeker Oracle by Ravynne Phelan consists of 55 cards, each a complete illustration where multiple layers of meaning come together. No strict archetypes, no fixed themes. Plenty of room for interpretation.
What you see on the cards
The images are imaginative and detailed. You see figures that seem half human, half mythical being, landscapes that shift from one world to another, objects that are symbolically charged but do not always explain directly what they mean.
Ravynne Phelan works in layers. Often there is a central figure, surrounded by smaller elements that all add something to the whole. The colours are intense, sometimes dark, sometimes light, but rarely neutral.
The cards have a matte finish. This feels pleasant during shuffling and allows the colours to come into their own better than glossy card stock.
How this deck works
The guidebook offers interpretations for each card, but the strength lies in what you see yourself. Which detail draws your attention? What does the colour or posture of a figure evoke in you? This is a deck that asks you to pause with the image before you turn to the text.
The 90 x 130 mm format sits well in the hand, not too large, not too small. The cards are sturdy enough to handle daily use.
Draw a card and lay it in front of you for a while without looking anything up. Notice which element catches your eye first and what that evokes. Only then read the guidebook.

Questions we often get
Are the card meanings fixed or open to interpretation?
The guidebook gives an interpretation for each card, but the images themselves leave plenty of room for your own associations. The more you work with the deck, the more details you will notice.
Is this deck suitable for beginners?
That depends on how you learn. If you like to discover for yourself what a card says based on the image, this deck works well. If you need strict structure and fixed meanings, it may feel overwhelming.
