Silver Witchcraft Tarot Set - Rider-Waite with lunar phases and pagan festivals
The Rider-Waite structure has been reinterpreted more times than anyone can count. This version adds lunar phases and pagan festivals to the traditional imagery. That makes it practical for readers who want to weave rituals and natural cycles into their work.
The Silver Witchcraft Tarot is a collaboration between writer Barbara Moore and digital artist Franco Rivolli. Moore has written dozens of tarot books, including Tarot for Beginners. Rivolli works from Italy and combines realistic figures with a digital style that sometimes recalls film stills.
What you see on the cards
The imagery follows Rider-Waite, but with a dark, nocturnal mood. Many cards are painted in shades of blue, purple and silver. The moon returns again and again, in different phases, sometimes as background, sometimes as central element.
The cards have silver foil on the edges. That gives them a shine you notice when you shuffle. The cardstock is sturdy, the finish matte. The backs show a pentagram with lunar phases around it.
The 160-page guidebook is generous. Each of the 78 cards gets its own discussion, including an explanation of which moon phase or festival belongs to it. There are colour illustrations throughout, which is useful when you want to look up the symbolism of a card.
How this deck stands apart
Most Rider-Waite variants stay close to the original imagery. This deck adds a layer that is specific to those who work with the Wheel of the Year or pay attention to the lunar cycle. The guidebook explains how you can incorporate that symbolism into your readings.
That makes it more concrete than most other witchcraft tarot decks. You get more than mood. You get workable information on how to link rituals and natural rhythms to your card spread.
Draw a card in the evening by moonlight and check which phase the moon is in. The guidebook explains for each card how you can incorporate that phase into your reading.

Questions we often get
Do I need tarot experience to use this deck?
No. The structure is Rider-Waite, so if you know it or want to learn it, you can start working with this right away. The guidebook is thorough enough for beginners. The extra layer with moon phases and festivals is there when you are ready for it.
How durable is the silver foil on the edges?
The foil sits on the cut edge of the cards and is well applied. With heavy use it may wear a little at the corners over time, as with all foil-edge cards. The cardstock itself is sturdy enough for daily use.
